VIDEO CONTENT PRODUCER

CHANNEL NYC provides original, NYC-related video entertainment and consumer services information through a unique, stand-alone platform. Featuring live streaming performances, local news, and updates across New York City's five boroughs, the platform offers comprehensive guides to local attractions and services. Viewers can explore channels categorized by culture, business, consumer services, or specific boroughs, alongside premium content such as sponsored events and exclusive live shows. CHANNEL NYC is dedicated to delivering the most immersive New York City experience available. Additional features like live newscasts, job boards, and promotional offers are also being developed to enhance user engagement and value.

Role Description

This is an initially a part-time-time hybrid role( with the possibility of a full-time offer of employment after 90 days) for a Video Content Producer based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with the flexibility of some work-from-home days. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end video production process, including content creation, live streaming, and editing for a variety of platforms. Tasks include developing and executing content strategies, coordinating with key stakeholders, managing video schedules, and ensuring the timely production of high-quality, engaging content. You will also manage content updates and maintenance across the platform, aligning with CHANNEL NYC's vision of representing the diversity and vibrancy of the city.

Qualifications

• Applicants who are bi-lingual in any of the following languages are especially encouraged to apply SPANISH, MANDARIN, KOREAN, HINDI
• Strong Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate across teams and convey ideas effectively
• Proficiency in Web Content Writing, Content Strategy, and Writing for video and digital platforms
• Experience in Content Management, with the ability to organize and oversee multimedia assets
• Strong project management and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Familiarity with video editing tools and best practices for live streaming (preferred)
• Understanding of NYC culture, local news, and community services is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, or a related field
